Are you thinking of hiring a motorhome for your next holiday? Hiring a motorhome for the first time can be a daunting prospect.

 Traffic Infringements
You are responsible for all traffic infringements that are issued during the hire period.
 Returing your Motorhome or Campervan
You vehicle must be clean on the inside with your waste and grey water tanks empty. The vehicle also must be full of fuel. If you return without these things done, your hire company will charge you for doing them at a premium. If you do forget to do these things when you return, it's better to just go out again and do it yourself to save the extra expense. Your hire campany will advise you of exactly what your responibilities are upon pickup of your vehicle.
 Motorhome Insurance
, contents insurance is your responsibility. Note; some travel insurance companies sell motorhome insurance but they wont be covered if you have a gas bottle onboard. If you are unsure, contact your proposed hire company and ask them about cover before purchasing.
 Motorhome Breakdowns
All motorhome and campervan hire companies have road side assistance in the event of a breakdown. Make sure you get the details upon picking up your motorhome or campervan.
 Hire company Information Session
This is the session where your hire company will show you around your motorhome and explain how to operate everything. Listen & ask questions. If your unsure, ask them to show you again. TIP: Pay extra attention to the heater/air con and fridge
 Familurise yourself with the campervan or motorhome the day you hire it
After you get to your first destination for the night, go over what you learnt from the motorhome hire company. Get out the motorhome manual and read up on how to operate the heating/Aircon and fridge especially. These are the 2 appliances that usually have various ways to operate them.
